FAQ
How far in advance should we book our session or wedding date?
I recommend booking weddings 9-18 months in advance, especially for popular spring or fall dates. However, if the date is open, you are welcome to book it anytime, no matter how close! Portrait sessions (engagement, graduation, maternity, family) are usually booked 2-6 weeks in advance, though we can book them out further if that's better for you.
How long will it take to receive our photos?
For weddings, the full digital gallery is delivered in 6-8 weeks, with sneak peaks within 72 hours after the event. After that point, if a printed album is included in your package, you will get to pick out your favorite photos, and then can expect your physical wedding album another 6-8 weeks after that. Portrait sessions are delivered within 2-4 weeks.
Do you require a deposit to reserve our date?
Yes. a 50% deposit and signed contract are needed to officially hold your wedding or portrait session date. The rest of the amount must be paid after the event, but before delivery of the finished gallery.
What happens if the weather is bad the day of our session?
For portrait sessions, we can reschedule at no cost if the weather is unsafe or unsuitable (heavy rain, storms, extreme winds). Weddings proceed as planned, but I come prepared with alternate lighting and coverage options.
Can we bring our dog to our session?
Absolutely! Pets are part of the family, and I love including them. I just recommend bringing a friend or family member to help handle your pet when they're not in the shot.
What if we're camera-shy?
You’re not alone! Most of my clients feel the same way at first. My approach is relaxed and guided, using natural prompts that help you loosen up, interact, and forget the camera is even there.
Do you offer rehearsal dinner or day before coverage?
Yes! You can add rehearsal dinner or welcome-party coverage to any wedding package for an additional charge. These events are full of meaningful, candid moments and are a wonderful way to document your story beyond the wedding day itself.
